Batch thirteen: Daedric Red Ale

03/13/2008 13:17 started heat for 2.5 gallons, added brew sock with grains.
03/13/2008 14:00 Started grains at 162°F
03/13/2008 14:35 drained/rinsed grain bag, adding extracts. Topped off to about 4 gallons and back on for boil
03/13/2008 15:33 Boil started, added 1/2 ounce Wormwood
03/13/2008 16:32 off heat, added one pound of honey, starting ice bath
03/13/2008 16:39 just about 3.75 gallons at 130°F, added ice to top off to 4 gallons, cooling
03/13/2008 16:54 pitched at 80°F, SG 1.052 at 82°F, adjusts to 1.055
03/20/2008 21:30 Racked to secondary with minimal loss, SG 1.018 at 68°F
03/29/2008 Racked to 3 gallon keg and 2 liter bottle, force carbonated at 30 psi
  FG was 1.016 at 67°F for a final 5% ABV

Very very bitter, like an amber with dirt, wood, and lawn clippings added.
